Got some gifs from internet, they can't be opened in XnView MP 1.8.2 (Error: "File Can't be loaded!") and in Classic 2.51.7 (Error: "GIF : Bad code's size !")
There are a lot of those gifs, they are from adult site, so I have sent one to your email (there is no nudity, etc., but just in case...).
Browsers (FireFox, Chrome) open it fine. Photoshop can open it. Another image Viewer that starts with "Ir..." opens it fine too.
What I did notice. If you open that GIF in any text editor or HEXeditor you will see a commentary block there at the beginning of the file.
And I noticed that one word there contains weird symbol:the symbol after "an...". HEX editor says it is not an UTF-8 symbol ("Invalid code unit"), and other symbols are (maybe that is the case? Maybe XnView can't handle non-UTF-8 symbols in commentary block?)
If I delete that symbol in HEXeditor, and save the file - it can be opened in XnView fine now.
You can say that the problem is with that person(s) who did those gifs, but other programs understand those GIFs fine.
Another thing. I have tried to create animated gif (Ulead Gif Animator) and add there a comment.
The comment block were added to the end of the file (not to the beginning)
And I tried to implement that non-UTF symbol there via Hex editor - XnView was able to open this file.
So there are to thing combined that XnView doesn't like? Comment at the beginning with non-UTF symbols?
